Düsseldorf – a city in Germany, the capital of state North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the seventh most populated city in the country and its business and financial centre. It also plays a significant role in the world of fashion and art, since 1949 fashion shows are organized there.
The place you definitely have to visit while staying in Düsseldorf, is Medienhafen. It is the most modern district of the city, built on grounds of an old port. In this renovated space there are mainly located skyscrapers, designed by the finest architects. On lower floors there are numerous cafes and restaurants. The flagship building, which can be boldly classified as the showcase of this district, is Colorium – a must-see!
Take a walk on a boardwalk located by the Rhine – Rheinuferpromenade. It is composed by four streets - Tonhallenufer, Schlossufer, Rathausufer and Mannesmannufer. On the length of 1,5 kilometres there are many shops, bars and restaurants.
Since the 19th century in the city there is produced, by method of top-fermentation, a lager beer – Altbier. Nowadays, there are five pubs in which you can try this popular lager: Füchschen, Schumacher, Schlüssel, Uerige and Brauerei Kürzer.

Düsseldorf is the city of greenery, you can walk there through one of the most beautiful European boulevards – The Royal Avenue (once called Chestnut) with a lot of old trees and luxury shops. In the city there is also the oldest public park in Germany – Hofgarten, founded in the 17th century. Another park, that is popular among locals, is Nordpark with a lovely Japanese garden.
