An Caribbean island, located 65 kilometres from the shore of Honduras, is famous for well-developed touristic infrastructure. Until recently Roatan was composed of just a few villages. Today it has recreational centres, in which one can dive, do water sports or fish. From a port you can set off for a trip to coral reefs, where you will admire pillar-box red fishes and corals.
One of the most original attractions awaits for you in Deturu Roatan. If diving is not your strength, you will see there, what you usually miss out on. Go for a cruise by boat with a glass floor to observe underwater life of animals. It is also a great proposal for families with kids.
Visit a paradise garden Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum. During this unusual trip of fruit orchard and orangery, you will get to know local fruits – mango, pink grapefruits or carambola – characteristic fruits of longitudinal shape and cross section of five-pointed star. The place fascinates also observers of birds as plenty of them live near pond.
