Accra is the capital of Ghana located on the Gulf of Guinea. The city is famous for its beautiful golden beaches, unique post-colonial architecture and colorful marketplaces. One of them is Makola Market, where street life takes place. In the city you will find interesting art galleries and museums, including Tiga African Art Consultancy and the National Museum of Ghana. Particularly noteworthy is the castle of Osu, the square of the Black Star, damaged by the tooth of time, as well as the Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum – the president of Ghana and a political activist.
