Venice Marco Polo International Airport is one of the two Italian airports serving Venice. It is named after famous Venetian traveller Marco Polo. The number of passengers continues to increase year-on-year, which indicates the large development of this port. After Rome and Milan, it remains the third busiest airport by passenger traffic in Italy. It is located in north-eastern part of the country and it belongs to the group of SAVE airports. National and international route network is provided by almost 60 airlines. In the arrivals hall, you can book a hotel, the nearest one is located 300 metres from the airport.

You can easily reach the airport, as Marco Polo has a wide variety of bus connections.
By water bus
Water transport service from the airport to Venice and the main Venetian islands (Burano, Lido, Murano) is operated by the red, blue and orange water bus lines. It is provided by Alilaguna company. You can buy the tickets in the arrivals hall, in the ticket machines, in the ticket office located next to the bus stop or on board.

By train
The closest train stations – Venice Santa Lucia and Mestre Venice can be reached by taxis and buses. You should get off at these stations and find the nearest bus stop, where you can find buses running directly to the airport. When getting off at Venice Santa Lucia take the ATVO Air Terminal or Urbano ACTV no. 5 line. When getting off at Mestre Venice take the ATVO fly bus or ACTV no. 15 line.
Taxi stands are located near the terminal. They are also easily reachable in the city center.
The airport can be reached via the A27 motorway or SS14 road. The road to the airport is clearly signposted. Coordinates for GPS car navigation systems:
