British Airways (BA) is the UK's second largest airline by fleet size and number of passengers carried, preceded by easyJet. In addition, it is ranked third among the world's largest airlines by the number of countries served. The airline's international head office is the Waterside building in Harmondsworth, London. It is located near London Heathrow Airport, which is the BA's main hub.
All passengers flying with BA airlines are permitted to carry one piece of hand baggage with maximum dimensions of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm and one small item such as a handbag or a laptop on board. The latter may not be bigger than 40cm x 30cm x 15cm. No single item of baggage can weigh more than 23kg. Any oversized or overweight piece of baggage will be checked into the aircraft hold. With 'Hand baggage only’ tickets, passengers will pay between £20 and £35 per checked bag if purchased online. While Euro Traveller and World Traveller classes customers take one free checked bag up to 23kg, World Traveller Plus passengers can bring one more. For Club World travelers it is two 32kg items of baggage and three bags up to 32kg for First Class travellers.

First, Club World and World Traveller Plus customers can pre-order their meal from 30 days up to 24 hours before the flight via Manage My Booking. Short-haul economy class passengers are not entitled complimentary onboard refreshments, however, they can purchase some of many food options, including vegetarian, gluten-free and healthy alternatives, provided by Marks & Spencer. Business travellers flying short-haul routes can enjoy complimentary meals and full bar service. All long-haul route passengers are provided complimentary food, from snacks and drinks for World Travellers to the delicious à la carte menu designed by famous chefs reserved for First class customers.
British Airways customers can join the Executive Club free of charge and enjoy member-only deals and offers, have their personal information saved for future bookings and collect Avios reward points which can later be spent on flights, hotels, car hire etc. Frequent flyers, depending on the membership tier, can benefit from priority boarding, lounge access, or first lounge access and spa treatments.
