Online check-in: What is it? - Laudamotion

At Laudamotion, online check-in is mandatory and the rules are the same as in the Ryanair airline. The Austrian carrier requires passengers to check-in via the internet under pain of charging high fines for the lack of boarding pass.

Online check-in can be done directly on the airline's website or, if case of purchasing the Online check-in service from eSky, using the link in the message received from eSky. Read about the online check-in process with Laudamotion.

What information should I provide when checking in online?

Laudamotion airlines ask for detailed information that will allow to allocate a seat on the plane and generate boarding passes. These data include:

  • date of birth,
  • nationality,
  • document type (identity card or passport),
  • number and series of document,
  • issuing country,
  • issue and expiry date of document.

Attention! The range of data required may vary depending on the route. Please print the generated boarding pass and take it with you to the airport together with the document used by you during check-in.

When is the eSky customer given a Laudamotion boarding pass?

eSky customers with purchased Online check-in service do not have to remember about the date and time of starting the check-in and about all other additional services. They just have to provide the necessary data. They can do this just after receiving the email from eSky where they can find the link to the secure form in order to provide the data. 

eSky customers who do not purchase the Online check-in service go through the check-in process directly on the airline's website using the email address provided during the booking on eSky. They then receive generated cards that should be used according to the instructions provided by the airline. Warning! In this case, all check-in and booking messages are sent directly by the airline to the customer's email address provided when booking the flight ticket!

Online check-in can only be purchased when booking a ticket. It is not possible to purchase it at a later date.

Airport boarding pass fee at Laudamotion

Laudamotion airlines charge fees for a missing boarding pass. Additional fees are:

  • £25 – additional fee for boarding pass re-issue at the airport (up to 40 minutes before the time of departure),
  • £55 – airport check-in fine.
